Wyoming High Country Lodge is tucked away in its own little world approximately 22 miles from Burgess Junction. At 9,000ft high in the Bighorn Mountains, this lodge is truly a hidden gem. Only accessible via snowmobile during the winter months, High Country is on the Northern edge of the Bighorns, which generally receives significantly less traffic. Here, you’ll find massive wide-open bowls, incredible tree riding, untouched meadows, incredible terrain features, and some of the best hospitality in the Rocky Mountain West.

Getting to High Country can be slightly tricky, but it’s worth every ounce of effort. You can ride snowmobiles 22 miles from Burgess Junction on highway 14A, or, you can park at the Crystal Creek rest area 3 miles from the lodge and get shuttled in. Crystal Creek Rest Area is 29.7 miles from Lovell, Wyoming up a steep mountain grade. 4WD vehicles are recommended,

The closest airports are Cody, Wyoming (75.8 miles) with daily flights via United Airlines, or Billings, Montana with multiple airline options. (123 miles). If you are a guided client of ours, ask us about our airport shuttle services from Sheridan, Wyoming.
